We had a great stay at Playa Poniente! the property was clean and in a convenient location. the staff were friendly and helpful, although a good grasp of Spanish or a translation app would come in handy. It was a budget-friendly option that served our needs well. the rooms were small but clean, and we appreciated the proximity to the beach and city center.
We would recommend Playa Poniente for a pleasant and affordable stay in Gijon. Cons: No complaints!

I recently stayed at Hotel Playa Poniente for a relaxing beach getaway. The hotel provided excellent value for money, with comfortable beds and clean rooms that made for a truly enjoyable stay. The manager was incredibly helpful, and the location was perfect, just a short 2-minute walk to two beautiful beaches and the charming old town. There was even a supermarket within a minute's walking distance, ensuring convenience for all guests. , the hotel had a cozy common area with tables and a large TV for guests to use. I always felt safe, even at night, and the walk over the headland was a must-do, with well-paved and well-lit paths.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
